Residential Customers

Residential window cleaning is given special care because it is your personal dwelling. This website introduces you to the employees who will be coming to your home. Also, let us know if we need to notate any concerns such as, 'Be careful not to let their dog, Spike, outside.'

In an effort to reduce pollution and save gas we usually ask the homeowner to count their windows. It is normally a simple process that the steps below will guide you through. A piece count not only gives you a good idea of the price , but it also tells us how long the job will take so that we can better schedule it. Choose whether you want to have the pieces cleaned inside and outside or outside only or a combination. Occasionally, a home has a more difficult configuration of windows that will make it necessary to come out to your house for an exact estimate. We will always need two different days in the same week to schedule due to weather, a cleaning day and a rain day.

Determining a piece count for pricing:

Double hung windows: A top piece and bottom piece of glass where the bottom piece slides up and down. That is counted as two pieces, anything with a frame around it. Or this type might be vertical like patio doors and one piece slides side to side. There may be storm window pieces that can be removed and cleaned so they are counted separately.

Crank out or casement windows: Each piece that cranks out is counted separately. Or as in a bay window two may crank out and two are stationary. Pella windows may have a piece that can be unclipped and that needs to be counted separately.

True Divided Light or Cutups: These are small panes of glass that make a large piece. Each pane is counted separately and charged a lower rate. This does not include those windows with removable mullions.

Plate glass windows or stationary pieces: Usually found in your living room.

INSURANCE:

$1,000,000 Commercial General Liability covers our employees if they are hurt on your property. Otherwise, your property insurance would be liable to pay for the worker's injuries and lost wages.

$1,000,000 Automobile Liability

$1,000,000 Workers Compensation. According to Indiana regulations (unlike some other states), this type of insurance is not mandatory if the owner is a sole proprietor or illegally has workers that the owner calls Subcontractors instead of Employees. When employees are called subcontractors the business owner is not taking responsibility for their employees taxes, insurance, and unemployment.

$2,000,000 Umbrella policy gives extra coverage on all the amounts above.

Please note: Be sure to directly ask for a Certificate of Insurance from the insurance company itself rather than the business owner to make sure the policies are currently in effect. Contact their insurance company to verify that the employee coming to work at your home is covered on that policy.
